JOB SUMMARY
Manage the entire Discounts and Rebates’ process as it relates to all Franchisees, including Circle K Single Sites, Area Licensees and On the Run Franchisees, as well as the West Coast Business Unit company operated stores.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review of all marketing contracts to determine that all SOX requirements are met for billing purposes and to determine the accounting treatment for each contract component.
- Oversee staff to ensure that the calculations and billings for all contracts are done in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for period end close and reporting for Franchise and West Coast Business Unit rebates.
- Responsible for account reconciliations and agings as well as collections of receivables.
- Work with vendors and Marketing Category Managers to resolve any issues.
- Communicate with field personnel to address questions from Franchisees.
- Distribute funds on a monthly basis and communicate the detail of the rebates to all Franchisees.
- Work with IT to maintain integrity of invoicing and purchase database systems.
- Increase employee’s effectiveness by communicating job expectations, values, strategies and objectives; coach, counsel and discipline employee; plan, monitor and appraise job results; foster a climate conducive for offering information and opinions; provide educational opportunities.
- Maintains accounting controls by following GAAP; maintains financial security by following internal controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Five to seven years of experience preferred. Supervisory experience a plus.
- Candidate must be well organized, detailed and have the ability to manage multiple priorities. Candidate must also have excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Must have high proficiency in MS Access and Excel.
- Experience working with accounting applications preferred; Oracle Financial Suite experience a plus.
