Technical Assistant II – Renewable Energy

Technical Assistant II – Environment and Renewable Energy

Palo Alto, CA

The successful candidate will effectively team with research scientists, program managers and technical staff in EPRI’s Renewable Energy Programs & Sector Operations to provide technical & administrative support.

Job Functions:

  • Supports Project and Program Managers by gathering, monitoring, analyzing and organizing information on current and emerging technologies as well as financial and contractual data
  • Supports Sector Operations with various projects (product management, customer satisfaction, PowerPoint slide preparation)
  • Developing contract documentation for subsequent processing and ensuring timely execution
  • Meeting coordination and preparation (member advisory meetings and workshops) including preparation and distribution of meeting materials
  • Maintain program website content
  • Coordinating webcasts
  • Supporting technical staff in the preparation and publication of technical papers and reports
  • Maintaining member contact lists

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a strong desire to develop their technical project management skills
  • Has familiarity with EPRI processes (e.g., contracts)
  • Is proficient in basic Microsoft software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint at a minimum)
  • Can use specialized project management tools
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
  • Is well organized and self-motivated
  • Is a team player
  • Is able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment

Education Level and Years of Experience

  • AA degree in a scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience with some related administrative or technical experience.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.


This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate in an existing administrative role who wishes to progress to a more technical role.
