Position Description:

Reports to the Acquisition Team Manager. Responsible for generating initial sales, in his or her assigned territory, from new acquisition K12 accounts as defined by Education Sales Operations.

Responsibilities

This is a true “hunter” sales position. This position is tasked in two areas, making initial Apple sales into accounts that have not purchased from Apple in the past three or more years, and also creating demand in acquisition-development accounts that result in year over year account growth.

The successful Acquisition Sales Rep will be proficient at :
- prospecting in their territory
- multi level selling and understanding of sales methodology
- independently initiating the sales process in new and unfamiliar accounts
- demonstrating Apple’s product and company benefits to accounts who are not familiar with, and do not buy from Apple
- quickly and efficiently qualifying prospects to determine if there is an immediate, short term sales opportunity
- working effectively with their Inside Acquisition Sales counterpart, including following up on leads and opportunities generated by Inside Sales
- working effectively with their Systems Engineer counterpart

In addition, the K12 acquisition rep will be required to :
- provide accurate and timely updates on pipeline and forecasts in SFA,
- provide timely and accurate administrative activities and sales activity reporting
- achieve all goals as defined by management for revenue, units and line of business


- Minimum of three years of successful sales experience (experience with hunter/acquisition sales or Windows-based sales experience preferred)
- Strong sales characteristics and skills, including presentation skills, qualifying skills, fundamental technical knowledge, overcoming objections and closing
-Hands on knowledge of multiple operating systems including Windows and Macintosh OS is required
- PC sales experience a plus
- Self-motivated, able to achieve goals and quotas
- Results Driven, well organized with strong follow-up skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and to leverage team members in accomplishing goals and objectives
- Understanding of both PC and Macintosh environments
- Able to travel up to 80% as required in their specific territory
- College degree preferred
