Job Description

The ActionScript Games Developer will fulfill the primary technical duties in producing advanced AS3 (Flex/Flash) games and applications for a virtual world. This role requires experience with AS3 for developing complex Flex/Flash applications for online deployment. The individual will collaborate in a small team with the Lead Developer, Game Designer, Graphics Designer and other production staff to develop original projects.

- Act as primary developer of games and websites using AS3 in Flash or Flex
- Write advanced, well-organized object oriented ActionScript 3.0
- Creatively resolve gameplay, functionality and production issues
- Development and integration of the Game GUI
- Implement game and virtual world functionality and defy the imagination!

Qualifications :
- Expertise with ActionScript 3.0, Flex 2, Flash 10 and Flash Video
- Expertise with HTML and JavaScript
- Knowledge of bandwidth restrictions and file-size optimization
- Knowledge of 3D programming a plus
- Experience with game and user interface design
- Ability to work collaboratively in small teams
- University qualifications are regarded but not required
- Game Development Principals: Collision, AI, Physics, GUI, Input, Multiplayer, etc.
