- McAfee Anit-Virus Engineer / Systems Administrator
- Responsible for implementing an 'Anti-Virus Scanning server' farm in tier 1 data centers supporting NAS filers, utilizing expertise with McAFee Anti-Virus software, Netapp Data OnTap 7x, Windows
- Server 2003 / 2008, and scripting.
- Candidate should have the following experience:
- Expertise with Build, Troubleshooting, and support of McAfee Anti-Virus Software 8.7 / 8.8 & filer Snap-in plug-in
- Expertise with Windows Server 2003 / 2008
- Familiarity with Netapp DATA OnTAP 7x on 2000, 3000, and 6000 class filers
- Familiarity with CIFS
- Familiarity with SQL Server for creating tracking database and queries
- Awareness of Active Directory
- Familiarity with Scripting experience (Visual Basic, Perl, Powershell, SH)
- Familiarity with Networking
- Design specifications for the Anti-Virus scanners for supporting a variety of environments including virtualization, file and print, as well as traditional clients
- Responsible for McAfee Software License ordering & compliance in addition to servers.
- Work with Engineering teams to understand the location and connectivity options for new installations.
- Install and configure Netapp Filer Plug-in based on BAC standards according to project deliverables
- Upgrade Netapp Filer Plug-in as required.
- Respond and answer problem tickets generated regarding the Scanners.
- Remediate server / filer based virus outbreaks
- Long Term Capacity Planning for the installed base of McAfee Scanners.
