Administrative Assistant / 1539
Position Description:
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the Behavioral Health staff.
Responsibilities: • Assists Behavioral Health staff in monitoring departmental flow of work to assure timely completion of all tasks • Prepares and distributes correspondence internally or to governmental entities, providers, members, etc. • Prepares PowerPoint presentations for training/technical assistance projects • Creates and maintains an accurate electronic filing system for the department • Serves as a liaison with other departments within APS • Performs work on special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
Competencies: • Two years experience providing administrative support to clinical administrative staff • Prior experience in a healthcare setting; managed care experience a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite • Ability to manage multiple projects • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to use office equipment, including faxes and copiers • Excellent customer service skills • Strong verbal and written communications skills
