Clearance
The individual will be responsible for general administrative duties necessary for the daily operation of an office. Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: receptionist (receiving, screening, and routing telephone calls, visitors, and mail); data entry; word processing; filing, faxing, and photocopying; making and coordinating travel arrangements and processing travel documents; processing time and attendance documents; assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable, and Payroll; and other duties as assigned.
Duties: Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Job duties include, but may not be limited to: implement working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) to perform industrial security management; advise government customers and senior management concerning the planning implementation of security policies and procedures; prepare and maintain personnel clearances and records; provide lock and key control; use the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) to process visit authorization requests (VAR), clearance verifications, and updates; prepare Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ) packages and finger print collections and ensure packages are forwarded to the appropriate office for processing; conduct initial Automated Information Security (AIS) User Security Briefing to employees and enforce a continuous AIS security education program; verify users current security status, special access authorization, and need-to-know for access to classified systems; provide user account management and inventory control; perform all hardware and software installation and maintenance; upgrade projects of client workstations, servers, and network components; complete weekly audits and inspections of classified AIS and classified areas; and properly mark and label all documents.
Working knowledge of and experience with MS Windows XP Professional, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Project, the Internet, and extensive knowledge of Security Administration. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
At a minimum the individual must have an Associate degree and at least one year of relevant work experience. It is desirable that the individual has completed courses at the Defense Security Service (DSS) Academy.
