The Administrative Assistant II will support the Human Resources (store operations) team with administrative functions. The incumbent will directly support the Human Resources Director and the team of Human Resources Managers for the Border Region.
Responsibilities:
- Manages small projects and processes independently
- Provides support to the Director of Human Resources and HR Managers
- Performs administrative functions that require experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and practices
- Prepares and files documents
- Collects, compiles and analyzes information for inclusion in reports and presentations
- Coordinates projects
- Screens and replies to memos, mail, email, and phone calls
- Composes general correspondence
- Forwards calls and matters to others in the organization as necessary
- Arranges travel, manages calendars, coordinates events and schedules meetings
- Collects, compiles and analyses moderately complex data and information
- Resolves routine inquiries
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3-5 years of secretarial or administrative support experience
- Intermediate PC Skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to proper use of grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Type 55 wpm with a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of office equipment (e.g. copiers/printers, fax machines, conference room audio/video equipment, etc.)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced work environment, work well and remain composed in stressful situations
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Ability to exercise judgment and employ basic reasoning skills within scope of established practices and policies; direction only required when issues arise outside of known precedent
- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
- Hand / finger dexterity
- Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis
