Position Overview:
Multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced, team-focused administrative assistant/receptionist to join its fast-paced, results-driven, ever-changing environment in our Houston office. As the first point of contact for our company, your professional presentation and superior interpersonal skills, over the phone and in person, will enhance our mission to set the standard in our field for exceptional client service. This position will begin at 30 hours per week (includes a full benefits package) and will transition to a full-time, 40-hour work week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reception on busy multi-line phones
- Word processing, which includes processing letters, submittals, proposals and reports, according to firm standards
- Invoice filing
- May process accounts receivable and accounts payable records, in coordination with office manager and corporate accounting
- Various other administrative tasks, as assigned by office manager
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm
- Advanced at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills
- Keen attention to details and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
- Proven ability to work at a high-volume, detail-oriented, and deadline-oriented pace
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision software a plus
- Prior experience at an engineering firm, professional services or law firm
