Administrative Specialist II - Construction/Service Team Support

Job/Research Summary
Perform post-award administrative support for the Construction/Service Team within the Contracts & Business Services Office with focus on Certified Payroll review in accordance with Davis-Bacon Act compliance requirements. Assist with subcontract closeout and subcontract administrative support activities.
Job Duties
Provide timely and accurate reviews of submitted certified payrolls from construction subcontractors. Assist Subcontract Administrators with resolution of payroll compliance issues. Perform labor standard interviews at construction job sites, maintain man-hour reports, and track submissions requirements to include updated safety plans, bonding, and insurance certificates. Troubleshoot problems with acquiring timely submission of deliverables. Prepare labor hour and labor enforcement reports. Maintain organized subcontract files, correspondence, and records. Assist with preparing subcontract files for closeout. Interface with management, staff, construction and service subcontractors, and visitors. Other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Relevant Associates degree or certification program and 2 years experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.
Additional Basic Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated administrative support experience with post-award construction and service subcontracts. A working knowledge of Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Act requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with preparing reports and tracking deliverable submission requirements. This position demands attention to detail, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and effective problem solving skills. Ability to work in a changing and team-oriented environment. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle.
