Admissions Coordinator

ABSOLUT CARE OF ENDICOTT, a 160-bed long-term care facility with a sub-acute rehabilitation unit, seeks an energetic, reliable, and caring individual who is able to work independently as our ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR.


 


JOB PURPOSE:


Admits residents to the facility by maintaining admitting guidelines; marketing programs; obtaining applicant information; screening applicants; completing admissions process; resolving patient dissatisfactions.

JOB DUTIES:
* Markets programs and facility by preparing and providing informational brochures; writing and placing advertisements; answering questions; conducting tours.


 


*Acts as a liaison between facility and transferring organization.

* Obtains applicant information by requesting completed applications and medical information; verifying and clarifying information; interviewing potential residents and family members; explaining admission criteria.

* Screens residents by comparing potential residents condition to admission criteria; evaluating and accepting or rejecting patients.

* Admits residents by completing admission and financial responsibility forms; coordinating and arranging physical, social, emotional, and support service requirements, including transportation.



* Keeps residents safe by following safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


 


*Is responsible for maintaining census goals, the timely completion of admissions, compliance with all facility, State and Federal regulations and standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Minimum of 1-2 years experience as an Admissions Coordinator in a hospital and/or long-term care setting
