About the Job

The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), one of the most prestigious performing arts colleges in the country with campuses in New York City and Hollywood, is accepting resumes from highly energetic and experienced Admissions professionals of all levels, including Directors, Associate Directors, Admissions Representatives, and Admissions Records Coordinators, for its New York City and Los Angeles campuses.


 


Successful candidates will:


·         Be dynamic and creative professionals with a track record of conducting successful recruiting campaigns and meeting established goals, preferably aimed at student populations.


·         Draw upon excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to enthusiastically and persuasively present to large groups of prospective students and families.


·         Have a strong understanding of competitive undergraduate admissions processes, market trends, and the college choice process.


·         Professionally represent the college by coordinating and attending admissions events, such as thespian festivals, high school visits, career days, college fairs, and other outreach efforts where qualified students would be recruited.


·         Be diligent in maintaining consistent contact with students throughout the enrollment cycle, including follow through to ensure file completion for all prospective students.


·         Have highly collaborative teamwork skills to interface with other admissions colleagues, financial aid counselors, bursar staff and other members of administration.


·         Possess strong organizational skills with ability to establish priorities, manage multiple demands and projects, and meet tight deadlines.


·         Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).  Experience with Power Campus a plus.


·         Provide detail-oriented as well as summary level statistical and other management reports.


·         Hold a Bachelor’s Degree; Masters a plus.


·         Be open and flexible for weekend and evening work as needed.


·         Commit to 20-25% travel.
