Job Description

Nemours is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse- General Surgery to join our team in Delaware.

The Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, offers intensive and acute inpatient and outpatient services covering more than 30 pediatric specialties. Ranked as one of the nation's 25 Best Children's Hospitals by Parents magazine in 2009, we care for thousands of children in the Delaware Valley, across the country and around the world. Extending the world-class care of the duPont Hospital for Children, the Nemours Children's Clinic provides convenient community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems across the Delaware Valley.

     We are looking for a flexible,energetic Advanced Practice Nurse who can work  M-F days.  This Advanced Practice Nurse will  assist in providing care to inpatient General Surgery patients and provide care to General Surgery specialty patients in the Ambulatory Care Area including anorectal malformation patients, chest wall deformity patients, and Bariatric surgery patients.  The APN will also participate in program development of General Surgery Specialty programs, and assist in managing patient and referring physician phone calls.

Must be a certified Nurse Practioner and be eligible for a Delaware  RN and APN license.

Successful candidate must have at least 5 years of RN experience.  Previous APN experience Preferred.  Ideal candidate should have previous experience with general surgery patients, pediatric critical care and/ or neonatal ICU experience.
