You can take any keyword and write an article that search engines and readers will love. You have a genuine interest in learning more about SEO, content management and writing for the web.

You’re organized. You meet all deadlines, even the ones you set yourself. You know how to write creatively and efficiently. The only term that’s not in your vocabulary is “writer’s block.”

You understand how to engage an online audience. You write killer headlines and subject lines.

You relish research. You know how to find out stuff.

You pay attention to details. You care deeply about commas. You know how to proofread for style and substance.

Responsibilities:

·         Research and write 3+ articles each week for SnagAJob.com’s Job Advice section, Online Degrees section and other domains

·         Manage and update content on SnagAJob.com and related domains

·         Manage monthly education-focused newsletter

·         Monitor traffic to specific site sections and develop strategies to increase visits

·         Identify and correct confusing or outdated site copy

·         Work closely with SEO manager to ensure content meets SEO standards

·         Write copy for emails and other communications with job seekers

Qualifications:

·         At least two years of experience in copywriting, web writing or journalism

·         Strong writing portfolio

·         Proofreading experience with substantial knowledge of style and grammar guidelines

·         Ability to work independently; must be responsible for own deadlines and traffic goals

·         Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

·         Knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems is a plus
