This role is a lead point of contact for PwC US Advisory regarding HP Software / solutions as extensions of our CIO Advisory services.. The role will work with PwC's US market sectors and our CIO Advisory practice to develop the HP Software joint business relationship in the market, lead in the initial business development, and lead the delivery of major CIO Advisory solutions leveraging HP Software.
In being able to work with the CIO Advisory practice, the role should have a moderate level of familiarity with the HP Software (software capabilities) in the majority of the following areas:
SOA (discussing HP's view on SOA from a client's IT Strategy Through Implementation Lifecycle)
IT Merger Integration
Project & Portfolio Planning (from a CIO's view)
IT Asset Management
IT Service Management
IT Change and Configuration Management (including strategies for IT services configuration change and monitoring)
Application Testing and Transaction Monitoring
Data Center Architecture & Business Case For Increased Automation
IT Infrastructure including HP's future direction in Cloud Computing, ITIL, data center automation, and converged computing technologies)
EXECUTION SPANS PRE-SALES THROUGH ENGAGEMENT LEADERSHIP:
The role will also provide a mixture of pre-sales, sales, and engagement delivery to account teams that require interaction with HP Software in the areas noted above.
From a pre-sales / sales standpoint, the role can anticipate a client (e.g. CIOs) business needs and provide key, integrated CIO Advisory services integrated with HP Software solutions to meet the client needs. The role will serve as a 'GoTo' point of contact with PwC for RFI or RFP opportunities with HP in the technology solution areas noted above.
From engagement leadership, the role will help both PwC and HP Software develop key demonstration and solution delivery accelerators in the areas of IT Strategy (e.g. project and portfolio management), IT Testing (e.g. SAP upgrade testing), and IT Operations (e.g. developing a POV for the Software-As-A-Service Automated Data Center). Additionally, the role may be asked to deliver strategic CIO Advisory solutions that are leveraging HP Software and the overall alliance to meet the client's needs.

LEVEL: EXPERIENCED (STRONG) DIRECTOR Capable of working with client CIOs and direct reports Capable of working with HP leadership both as an alliance (JBR) and account perspective (providing CIO Advisory assistance to HP software as a client) Capable of working with other PwC alliances (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, etc.) to develop Go-To-Market programs ROLE REQUIREMENTS: The role requires strong CIO-level understanding and HP softwareexperience which includes but is not limited to: Broad understanding across HP Software suite including future direction (product and market strategy) Strong VP and Director relationships within HP Strong technology solution development experience typically targeted at the client CIO level A business development background with accomplishments reflected in either service sales and/or product planning/sales ROLE PLUSES: Either whitepaper or formal publishing experience in the technology sector pertinent to HP Software products (e.g. IT Governance, testing, IT asset management, IT financial management, SaaS or Cloud Computing) Good understanding / experience in delivering software as a service (SaaS) and/or cloud computing
