Aerospace Software Quality Engineering Professionals - You'll have the opportunity to:

Audit design/development work performed at the Aerospace Tucson and subcontractor sites

Take a leading role in maintaining the Software Quality Process Assurance System

Work with the Engineering Quality organization in the resolution of corrective actions

Assess engineering activities, reporting and tracking of non-conformances as they pertain to DO-178B, DO-278, DO-254, ARP-4754 and AS9100/AS9006

Interface with customer and regulatory agency representatives

Take a leading role in quality strategic planning processes

Coordinate with other Aerospace sites to share best practices

Proactively work with engineering personnel to improve the development process and the quality of its products

Provide feedback and guidance to engineering teams and project management regarding overall design and development compliance

Maintain quality metrics to assess engineering process effectiveness and working with the PDQA team to improve engineering procedures

Serve as a member of the Aerospace-Tucson product development teams and regularly communicate with program managers, lead engineers and program personnel

Take a leadership role in managing PDQA and certification schedules

Are you interested? The ideal Aerospace Quality Engineering candidate will possess:

Minimum required Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 5+ years' experience in software quality engineering within the commercial aviation industry

Working knowledge of DO-178B, DO-254, ARP-4754, AS9100, AS9006 and other software/hardware process requirements

Experience with ClearCase and DOORS

ASQ Certification highly desired

The ability to travel as limited domestic and international travel may be required

Extensive knowledge and experience in advanced quality assurance information and concepts
