We have an immediate need for a Airframe Designer.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The preferred candidate will have extensive knowledge of Airframe design with emphasis on vehicle definition and integration. Experience with Helicopter airframe design will be considered a plus. The candidate must be able to work independently and conduct preliminary and detail design of airframe primary and secondary structures.
The candidate must have experience in the creation of airframe detail, assembly and installation drawings/models including an ability to do conceptual layouts, interpret specifications, assess producibility and apply required dimensioning / geo-tolerancing. The candidate must have experience with design of sheet metal details, machined fittings and assemblies/installations. Experience in the design of composite airframe structures will be considered a plus.
The preferred candidate will be familiar with airframe component fabrication and assembly with an awareness of assembly tooling methods. Good communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. The candidate must have CATIA V4 capability and be familiar with Product Life Cycle tools (e.g. Enovia PM or similar).
An active secret clearance with an investigation date that is within the last 5 years is required for this position. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
