Fire & Life Safety America, a premier fire protection/life safety contractor with twelve offices throughout the Southeast US, is seeking to add an experienced Alarms Inspector to our Atlanta, GA location. Job Description

The primary function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site inspecting and preventive maintenance services performed on a wide range of fire protection equipment. 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

·   Performance of periodic inspections and preventative maintenance services on Automatic Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Systems

·   Complete electronic and/or hand written inspection reports in a timely manner

·   Communicate with customers to assure any system deficiencies are promptly reported and corrected

·   Help schedule and complete assigned tasks

·   Document time worked and all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.  

·   Become proficient at and train other junior inspectors to follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule based upon NFPA Standards and ECFP established ISO practices

Minimum Qualifications

·   High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years previous related experience in a technical or mechanical field

·    NICET Certification a plus

·   Candidates must possess excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

·   Positive customer service attitude and people skills.   

·   Working knowledge of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Alarm Systems

·   Working knowledge of building and fire codes and the ability to discover and document deficiencies in the systems being inspected

·   Computer skills a plus
