Program Coordinator for Allied Health and Life Sciences

This is a 12-month position with full college benefits.

Minimum Qualifications: MSN or Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration. Must have minimum of two years experience in a management position with responsibility for staff supervision, budget management, and development of progress reports. Must have familiarity with common computer applications; excellent written and oral communication skills; evidence of ongoing commitment to professional development and to student learning. Previous experience teaching adults strongly desired.

Responsibilities: Reports to the Vice President for Learning and Instruction with responsibility for:

• leadership and supervision for life science, allied health programs and services including Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Pharmacy Technology, and Respiratory Therapy.
• coordination of grants which support Allied Health including preparation of budget and performance reports
• coordination with Arkansas State University/MSCC on-campus RN partnership program
• effective student learning in CNA and allied health courses
• service on college committees including coordination of Allied Health Advisory Committee
• budget development and management for assigned area
• scheduling and evaluation of instructors
• academic advising
• student recruiting and retention
• assessment of student learning
• other duties as assigned.

Note: Work assignments may include evening and/or weekend hours.
