ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY NEW ENGLAND Alumni Relations Associate
Antioch University New England seeks an Alumni Relations Associate to implement and support programs which enhance alumni institutional affiliation, participation in activities, and philanthropic giving. The Associate is responsible for various services provided to alumni.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE • Participate in and support strategies to increase alumni participation in programs, events, and fundraising initiatives • Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate alumni events • Recruit and train volunteers for alumni programs and events • Serve as primary staff liaison to the alumni council; attend council meetings, assist council with programs and events, and provides support for council fundraising activities • Serve as liaison for alumni services including career services, affinity programs, and new graduate gifts • Identify and report on prospective donors among alumni; assist in cultivation and solicitation of prospects, as well as ongoing stewardship of current alumni donors • Provide support and identify prospects for planned giving program • Collaborate on theme, content, editing, and mailing of alumni newsletter • Assist with development and implementation of alumni surveys • Collaborate on providing content for alumni web pages • Maintain communication with alumni via online social networking sites • Manages cap and gown sharing program • Produce written materials including letters, newsletter articles, event invitations, and promotional pieces
The Alumni Relations Associate must have a bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of experience working in a nonprofit fundraising environment, a higher education background is preferred. Experience working with volunteers or in alumni relations is preferred. Familiarity with donor database operations and management is required; direct experience with Raiser’s Edge is preferred. The Associate will be responsible for occasional evening and weekend work, as well as some local and national travel. The Associate reports to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations.
