Static Control Components, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Analog and Mixed Signal ASIC Physical Design Engineer.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the ASIC design team, you will be responsible for physical design activities from Netlist to complete GDS in small, very low-power ASIC designs in 250nm or similar process technologies. Must be capable of design work without the aid of the marquee backend software from EDA companies like Mentor, Synopsys, etc.
Major responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
* Layout including hierarchical partitioning and floor planning
* Parasitic extraction
* Power integrity, clocking integrity, and signal integrity analysis
* Physical Verification
* Participating in efforts to establish CAD, flow automation, and physical design methodologies
Position Requirements:
* BSEE required, or related experience. Please elaborate.
* Successful track record
* Hands-on experience in physical design
* Experience with integrating hard IP modules
* Experience with applying foundry PDKs
* Experience in closing timing, signal integrity and physical verification
* Ability to collaborate with RTL, synthesis, system engineers in verification and debug
* Spice experience a plus
* Verilog RTL and Behavioral Verilog experience a plus.
* Experience with programming and scripting languages (C++)
