JOB SUMMARY:
Provide production support to users of the PeopleSoft Pay/Bill module.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform complex transactions (defined by management team) on behalf of users.
- Research unexpected billing or pay results. Identify and correct root causes.
- Assist with training of new users
- Train users on changes in the Pay/Bill module and the associated business processes.
- Serve as communication facilitator between technology group and customer service group.
- Run and monitor weekly billing jobs and ensuring their successful completion.
- Develop and maintain user queries and reports.
- Perform ad hoc research for managers within the Operations team.
- Assist with special projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT from a four year state university.
Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP.
Advanced Excel skills. Access is a plus.
1-3 years experience at a company with revenues >= $250M annually, staffing industry preferred.
Candidate should understand accounting concepts well enough to distinguish between billing transactions and revenue recognition transactions.
Candidate should understand how transactions originate and flow through a system and what their associated impacts are on the financial statements. Candidate should have strong enough analytical skills to perform their own research on errant transactions and identify root cause configuration or data issues.
Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills and an ability to work well with a demanding team. The right candidate will thrive on figuring out complex system configurations to achieve new and different processing requirements, have an outgoing personality, and enjoy developing relationships across many groups within the company. A person who is easily frustrated by rapidly changing or initially incomplete work requirements will fail in this role. The successful candidate will be good at knowing the right questions to ask when the business requirements or questions are initially presented to them.
