client is a start-up organization entering a very lucrative segment of the
service and distribution sector.  The
company is led by a group of executives who have previously built an enormously
successful company in a similar sector.  Having
identified another opportunity within their marketplace, the group is building a
corporate infrastructure capable of supporting rapid growth.

The Role:  Analyst, Accounting & Finance

Reporting
to the Vice President of Finance, the incoming Analyst will help build a
best-in-class accounting and finance function. 
S/he will perform (at one time or another) all tasks necessary to
operate the accounting and finance function.

Specific duties
will include:

·        
Day to day administration of the general ledger and
relevant sub-ledgers.

·        
Financial modeling and decision support.

·        
Budgeting and forecasting.

·        
Maintenance of controls and compliance.

·        
Process analysis and improvement.

·        
Special projects as needed.

Candidate Profile &
Qualifications

The
incoming Analyst will have recently completed his/her second or third year with
a national audit firm (non-negotiable). 

S/he will be
energetic and adaptable, and most importantly, a quick study.  S/he will have a strong grounding in
accounting principles and a knack for picking up new tasks and understanding
business challenges.   Most importantly,
the right candidate will be an individual who relishes this kind of opportunity
and wants to contribute in a variety of ways.

Career Growth

The
incoming Analyst will be the third member of the accounting and finance
team.  Proposed growth plans will
necessitate a larger and more complex accounting tower within just a few
years.  This group will be built from the
bottom up.  As such, a successful
individual in this role will have the opportunity to both learn a number of
functional specialties as well as play a leadership role as department headcount
increases.  Additionally, future
opportunities may exist for the successful candidate to gain exposure to
large-scale transactions.
