Analyst, Application and Production Support, NY Fixed Income Product Technology
The purpose of this role is to provide proactive desk support for FIP business users, facilitating the normal operation of day-to-day desk technology related activities and to continually drive refinement of procedures, processes and quality of service.


Requirements: 

Core Competencies / Skills:

General
- Ability to troubleshoot technology and business problems under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on criticality.
- 5-7 years supporting capital markets' businesses and technology

Technical Skills
- OS: Unix, Windows, Citrix.
- Experience with Bloomberg TOMS, ION Winfits and Fixed Income customer e-Commerce platforms a significant benefit.

Business Knowledge
- Working knowledge of global capital markets; knowledge of emerging markets, fixed income cash products and derivatives knowledge extremely desirable.
- Understanding of end-to-end trade flows from front office through to clearing.
- Knowledge of market data (Reuters / Bloomberg).
- Knowledge of business usage of Fixed Income trading systems and eCommerce platforms is highly desirable.

Key Accountabilities: 

Primary Objectives:
- Liaise between clients, vendors and in house apps (front office, back office, middle office);
- Escalate problems and make enhancement requests as necessary.
- Analyze and identify areas for improvement, then propose, plan, and implement change.
- Troubleshoot and minimize impact of system issues and outages.
- Maintain, organize and enhance documentation for the Fixed Income application support team on Wiki documentation site.
- Maintain an "issue log- to document system issues and solutions.
