We have an excellent contract opportunity for a
Analytical Laboratory Technician with
a leading petroleum company.  This
opportunity has a strong possibility of extending and/or converting to a hire
for the right candidate!



 



Skills/Capabilities



·        
Setup and operation of complex analytical equipment and
instrumentation, including: Liquid Chromatographic, Gas Chromatographs, Nuclear
Magnetic Resonance spectrometers and Mass Spectrometers.



·        
Experience with data systems, sample handling, analytical testing
and instruments including LC, GC, Mass Spectroscopy and NMR.



·        
Intelligent and motivated person that is able to quickly learn the
process and equipment with each pilot plant. 



o       
Ability to effectively troubleshoot is critical.



·        
Willing/able to multitask and prioritize work.  Must be organized. 



·        
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with researchers,
team members and support groups.



 



Responsibilities



·        
Tasks include:



o       
Analytical testing such as GC, NMR, and LC operation



o       
Maintenance, repair and troubleshooting  of laboratory equipment



o       
Sample Handling



o       
Troubleshooting



·        
Lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and wear a respirator as needed.



·        
Adhere and follow all safety guidelines.



 



Qualifications



·        
BS in Chemistry, Biology or related science required.



·        
Experience working in a pilot plant is required



·        
Previous knowledge or experience in the petroleum industry is a
plus



·        
Strong safety ethics/awareness
