Anthem's Diversified Business Group (DBG) Insights Internship experience provides selected MBA participants with real-world learning opportunities that apply their MBA program acumen and leverage their work experience to help shape transformative change in the healthcare system. The Corporate Development summer intern will work on high-priority, high-visibility corporate development activities to support our external partnership and acquisition activities. As part of this summer internship, you will:
  • Use your financial modeling and research skills in the healthcare analytics space to support development of business cases to support new partnership and acquisition deals
  • Assist in addressing pivotal business and organizational opportunities
  • Establish relationships at the executive level across the Anthem, Inc. organization
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in a full-time, accredited MBA program
  • 2-4 years of prior experience (pre-MBA) in a management consulting, investment banking or corporate development role
  • Knowledge of or previous work experience in health care industry is highly preferred
  • Advanced decision making capabilities through data driven analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and financial modeling/valuation skills
  • Project management skills (including time management, risk management, etc.)
  • Cross-functional perspective and quick, continuous learning style
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Leadership skills
  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Demonstrated agility in learning complex concepts
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business data and strategy
