Summary:
Candidate must have experience leading the development of large and
scalable web applications, translating requirements into design
documents, creating mock ups, and enjoy a fast paced and collaborative
environment. As such, good communication, ability to work in a team
environment, mentoring, and design skills are essential. Candidate must
be self-directing and driven.
Seeking a Web Application Architect with experience creating
web-based enterprise applications using Java related
technologies.Essential skills include web development,
object-relational mapping frameworks, dependency injection, building
and using service models, and experience with technologies such as
Java, Spring, Guice, Hibernate, AJAX, GWT, JavaScript, etc. The right
candidate will have proven experience creating an enterprise console
from scratch, will be able to translate requirements into design, and
effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of the
organization.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the definition of a new Enterprise Console Architecture (UI and Service Model Frameworks)
* Lead the research and choice of technologies (Spring, Guice, GWT, etc)
* Lead the development of the Enterprise Console using the chosen technologies
* Translate requirements into design documents, architecture diagrams, and mockups
* Clearly and effectively communicate the architecture to other team members
* Ability to work side by side with the development leads to
develop new releases of Tripwire Enterprise product with the new
architecture.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
* 10+ years development experience.
* Must be able to successfully work in teams across domains.
* Must have strong Java, object-oriented design skills, and high comfort level with Web 2.0 technologies.
* Must have good SQL skills.
* REST/Web Services and Enterprise Software development experience.
* Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly cooperative and kinetic environment.
* Proven experience leading the development of an Enterprise class application.
* UML for design and specification documentation
* Previous experience with Agile methodologies (and SCRUM in particular) is desired.
