RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing architectural guidance and artifacts on Walt Disney Parks & Resorts IT sustainment and project focused initiatives. Participate in, guide, and drive the ongoing definition, development and re-use of enterprise-wide business services. Work with projects to define appropriate options for application integration and drive best practices across .NET and JEE technologies. Collaborate with delivery teams throughout project and support lifecycles to ensure architectural alignment. Provide leadership to ensure that analysis and design specifications align with industry best practices. Ensure the leveragability of existing and new components/services.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Minimum 7+ year’s overall hands-on IT experience, including 5 years object-oriented analysis, design and development experience
* Minimum 5 years hands-on design and development experience with enterprise-scale distributed applications (J2EE and/or .NET technologies)
* Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with defining and consuming XML messages using industry standards for service and binding protocols including SOAP, WSDL, REST, ATOM, JSON, JAXB, and edge caching techniques
* Minimum 3+ years experience with defining software architectures for large complex application domains.
* Minimum 3+ years experience with delivering applications for handheld devices and mobile phones
* Minimum 3+ years architectural experience with Vignette content management solutions
* Minimum 3 years experience developing architectural models using standard modeling tools
* Proven hands on experience designing and implementing solutions using persistence frameworks and ORM techniques
* Demonstrated strong written & verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Working knowledge of UML, and experience with Rational modeling tools (RSA, RSM)
* Working knowledge of Enterprise Application Patterns including Domain Model, MVC, Transfer Objects, Service Locator and others
* Working knowledge of Model Driven Architecture (MDA)
* Hands–on experience using advanced frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, AJAX, Rich Faces, .NET Enterprise Library etc.)
* Hands-on experience specifying services using the Web Services Basic Profile and WS-* Specifications
* Experience using Eclipse, Visual Studio or IBM RAD
* Experience developing and delivering formal technical training
* Experience evaluating emerging technologies and toolsets
* Strong understanding and hands-on experience with industry-standard design (OOD) patterns
* Experience using Adobe Flex/Flash or other RIA tools
