As a Senior Application Architect on the Enterprise Governance and Standards team, you will interact with our Business and IT customers and colleagues across the Enterprise to architect, engineer, operate and identify solutions and technical architecture to help transform technology and architecture in our 'next generation environment.

In this role (located in Atlanta), you will use your architecture, holistic / strategic thinking, communications and consultative / leadership skills to connect architecture and technology to overcome challenges - and provide measurable business value to our customers.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

1. Support Standards Center of Excellence (CoE) lab on any technology proof of concept (PoC) and proof of technology (PoT)

2. Support design and develop improvements to Enterprise Governance and Standards platform built using MEAN stack

3. Build architecture and solution building blocks templates, guidelines, patterns and reference implementation with scenarios

4. Open source software:

a. Governance that includes identifying, evaluating and recommending the appropriate open source products

b. Coordinate effort to ensure operational stability and security of Open Source software

c. Provide recommendations and support efforts for the standardization of Open Source software

5. Create architectural designs that articulate the business context, conceptual design and component-level logical design.

6. Analyze application portfolios to make standardization and rationalization recommendations in accordance to architectural principles, as well as architectural and technology standards and guidelines.

7. Analyze application health and develops solutions to bring application in compliance with company standards and specifications.

8. Resolve IT architecture problems through option analysis, which includes identification, assessment and resolution of business/technical problems in accordance to architecture standards frameworks and guidelines.

9. Maintain and suggests new architecture standards. Contributes to defining architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards.

10. Provide governance at the enterprise level to ensure that architecture and solution design adhere to architecture and technology standards and communicate any related concerns to the IT delivery teams and business constituents as required.

11. Stays abreast of industry direction, changes and improvements.

12. Lead the evolution of transitioning to a new architecture.

13. Evaluate and select from existing and emerging technologies the options that best fit business and IT strategic needs; able to present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on emerging technologies.

14. Develop linkage and relationship of architectural components, identifies service requirements, component capacities and loads for planned business growth.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar required, MS/MA preferred

- 3+ years' experience in Java, .Net, also Relational and NoSQL database required

- 2+ years' experience in health care industry experience preferred, but not required

- 5 years' experience in architecture/design with background in developing reference architecture models, patterns and guidelines required

- 10 years' experience in information technologies required

- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular2/Anugular4, Node.js preferred

- Solid team player with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Experience with infrastructure preferred

- Experience with Agile development methodologies

- Exposure to open source management best practices

- Experience with architecture and technology governance and standards management

- Should be conversant with Cloud characteristics, delivery and deployment models, and fundamentals of Cloud application design
