We have an immediate need for an Application DBA
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Application DBA will work with application development teams, define, design and implement application architectures as it applies to interacting with relational databases.
This position will also be responsible for defining and creating relational data models.
This position will also be responsible for helping Developers to tune their queries for optimal use of database resources.
Requirements:
Illustrative Accountabilities
- Working knowledge of Relational Theory
- Working knowledge of Data Modeling Techniques
- Working knowledge of Oracle SQL tuning concepts
- Indexing, Hash joins, Nested Loops
- Applications DBA tuning experience
- Query re-write techniques
Job Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in creating and modeling Relational Database table structures
- 1-3 years experience performing Oracle SQL tuning
- 1-3 years experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent experience
