We are searching for an experienced Applications Developer to join our team.

SUMMARY
Develop and manage implementation efforts in support of business initiatives for enterprise and departmental applications
Develop and maintain integration solutions
Support packaged software applications
Provide on-call support as needed

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position reports to and receives functional guidance from the VP of IT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Plan and manage application software integration projects
II. Develop and support integrated enterprise and departmental applications software
III. Provide support for packaged software applications
IV. Develop and maintain integration solutions, focused on reliability and agility to support business needs     and initiatives
V. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners for packaged applications
VI. Continuously improve the operating efficiency of VTBC's use of packaged and internally developed applications and integration solutions
VII. Demonstrate VTBC's customer service philosophy and effective communication skills while supporting client needs
VIII. Responsible for adherence to VTBC's departmental and corporate policies and procedures
IX. Assist with the development, maintenance, dissemination and adherence to departmental Action Plans on a year-round basis
X. Responsible for S.O.S. participation as required during Peak Periods
XI. Will follow all ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by VTB and the department

QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills along with excellent follow-through and problem solving capabilities.  Should have project management experience and the ability to negotiate and liaison with vendors in the interest of VTBC. Must have the ability to absorb new technology rapidly and understand business issues.  Requires self-direction and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
I. Minimum five years software support and programming in a Windows/Unix/Linux LAN environment
II. Minimum five years structured methodology-based applications development experience and SQL
III. Strong knowledge of database concepts and technology - MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
IV. Experience programming with MS .NET, MS Access, Visual Studio, VBScript
V. Understanding of technical aspects of web site development and experience programming with PHP, C#, Java, Perl/CGI, SQL, HTML, XML, Web Services/SOAP, Open Source solutions
VI. Relevant experience as liaison with vendors for vendor-based solutions
VII. Project management experience desired
VIII. B. S. - Computer Science or equivalent experience
