Senior QA Tester/Analyst

SecureNet is seeking a highly-motivated, energetic Sr. QA Tester. The position is located in our Rockville, MD office.  The Sr. QA Tester will support SecureNet  ongoing projects. The Sr.QA Tester is responsible for the following:

• -Overseeing and executing testing strategies


• -Developing test plan and test scripts


• -Assisting developers in conducting effective Unit Testing


• -Planning and conducting testing of bi-weekly production data fixes via Stored Procedures


• -Coordinating and conducting Peer Reviews


• -Coordinating System and Integration Testing


• -Coordinating User Acceptance Testing


• -Coordinating creation and review of system documentation


• -Ensuring adherence to the software development and release processes by applying industry standard Quality Assurance Activities


• -Attending and participating on weekly and monthly status meetings


• -Checking in/out software code and documentation from version control repositories in Source Safe.

• Qualifications:


• -Good oral communication and writing skills; the ability to understand and convey complex business logic and design concepts


• MUST have VSTS (Visual Studio Test Suite)


• -Experience with version control tools, such as PVCS, SubVersion, or equivalent is highly desirable


• -At least one year of experience with Test Director or related tool


• -Experience conducting peer reviews


• -Minimum of two years of hands on experience testing web applications with MS ASP, ASP.NET,HTML, VBScript and JavaScript


• MUST have C#, XML Webservices


• -Minimum of two years of hands on experience testing scripts written in SQL Server/oracle (writing cursor, stored procedures, SQL queries using inner join, outer join, etc)


• -Familiar with quality assurance automated tools like HP/Mercury


• -Familiar with quality assurance processes


• -Knows how to write a Quality Management Plan if needed


• -Proven team player with initiative to resolve issues is a must


• -Willing to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines
