PMHCC, a not-for-profit organization, was established to link the public, non-profit service and the private sectors to improve service opportunities for citizens who are limited primarily by serious and/or prolonged mental illness and/or drug and alcohol abuse. Over the years PMHCC's activities and responsibilities have changed and evolved so that PMHCC serves as a major human services systems management company. PMHCC has an opening for an Application Programmer Analyst.
This position provides daily programming and analysis support of the Office of Addiction Services Behavioral Health Special Initiatives (BHSI) computerized database applications under the direction of the PMHCC IS Technical Services Manager. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining computer application systems for BHSI including but not limited to the BHSI Case Management Information System and the OAS Intensive Case Management Information System. This position maintains direct contact with BHSI management, BHSI internal staff and external customers to ensure application and data reliability, availability, and integration with current or future technologies.
Skills Required: Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate data processing concepts to non-technical personnel. Analyze complex organizational and procedural problems. Complete work within the confines of a time schedule. Ability to establish effective working relationships with end users, departmental and administrative management.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Computer Science or a professional trade school diploma required. Five (5) years relevant programming experience required. A thorough understanding of data processing systems, operating systems, Internet standards, and the techniques of application programming and analysis. Hands on experience in Visual Basic.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Crystal Reports, and MS Office required.
Essential Functions (E): Must be able to sit for a minimum of 2 hours working at a computer screen/keyboard/mouse. Must be able to spend long periods of time typing and viewing computer screens. Must be able to travel to all PCHC external customer locations by means of walking, by way of public transportation, and by operating a company vehicle – a valid driver’s license is required and must meet the insurability provisions of PMHCC Policy 911.
