Job Summary:



  • Works with management and users to analyze, design, implement, and/or support business applications and systems. 

  • Supports business applications and looks for ways to optimize and improve overall functionality and user proficiency. 

  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves application/system platform issues.  This involves working with in-house IT staff and 3rd party vendors.

  • Analyzes proposed business processes and recommends various software and hardware solutions to meet organizational goals.

  • Configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades application software.

  • Establishes and maintains software and systems documentation, including user manuals, detailed flow charts, and diagrams outlining system capabilities and processes. 

  • Researches new developments in software and hardware, keeping abreast of latest advancements and studies regarding effective procedures in software, implementation, and solutions, as well as project management methodologies. 

Requirements:           


·         Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 - 5 years information technology experience supporting business applications and systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.


·         Must have experience in current programming languages.


·         SQL experience required.


·         Thorough knowledge of computer technology in order to analyze, interpret, and apply information.


·         Proven ability to work with end users in order to troubleshoot and resolve application/system platform issues. Must have intuitive problem solving skills.  


·         General knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.


·         Knowledge of and skill in using various computer software applications such as MS Word, Excel, electronic mail, HRIS, and accounting systems, including the ability to perform maintenance on existing programs and identify or coordinate development of user requirements.


·         Written communication skill to compose correspondence, reports, and proposals. Oral communication skill to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.  Ability to make presentations outside work group. Interpersonal communication skill to work effectively with others in order to coordinate activities and arrive at mutual decisions.


·         Ability to provide a high level of customer service and employee support by answering questions, providing accurate information, and responding to requests on a timely basis.


·         Must be project minded and team oriented.


·         Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Skill Sets:


·         Familiarity supporting a company’s Intranet is preferred.


·         Exposure to workflow design a plus.


·         Experience using ECM (Enterprise Content Management) systems is preferred.


·         Experience supporting system integration a plus.
