Applications Analyst

Job Purpose: 

Works as part of a team to ensure that customer accounts are implemented and maintained according to established standards and customer requirements. Works with project and account managers to assess and plan Spheris software solutions. Responsible for software installation, account creation, HIS interface design, templates/Style sheet scripting, SQL queries, A-Z testing, and backup/recovery procedures.

Job Responsibilities: 

-Write SQL queries and stored procedures specifically for MS SQL

-Troubleshoot hardware and software problems

-Setup interface configurations for HL7 protocol

-Create an account and associated records on Spheris platform

-Write Visual Basic, JavaScript, XML, XSL, and ASP scripts

-Configure delivery mechanisms

-Participate in internal and external conference calls

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Decision-Making: 

-Changes or modifications in configuration settings for an account that is live without effecting customer workflow.

-Implementing new accounts, troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in a timely manner

Job Qualifications: 

Education:

Bachelors’ degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent additional experience

Experience:

Six months to two years experience in software development and clinical document management

Knowledge / Skills:

·         Programming experience in Visual Basic, JavaScript, XML, XSL, ASP

·         Ability to write optimal SQL quires and stored procedures specifically for MS SQL Server

·         Knowledge of HL7 protocols

·         Knowledge of HIS systems
