Manage a team of applications engineers and applications engineering project leaders on several projects. Provide for staffing requirements, personnel issues, technical guidance and assistance with customer negotiations as required.  Review and analyze various customers’ manufacturing requirements.  Monitor the execution of turnkey projects ranging from single, stand-alone machine turnkeys to multi-machine, multi-million-dollar turnkey systems. This position also supports the marketing and sales group as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITIES include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Manage a team of personnel responsible for turnkey execution by performing personnel evaluations, recommending salary actions and managing a cost center budget.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to project leaders and applications engineers as required on specific projects.
• Assure compliance by the team in following the documented procedures for turnkey project execution.
• Review turnkey project costs and proposals for content in regard to fixture, tool and engineering.
• Assure that all aspects of each turnkey project or multiple turnkey projects within the team are properly coordinated.
• Provide process training (including machine options, programming, cell operations) at corporate and at the customer’s facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
