Applications Programmer (C#)

Job Description

Responsibilities 

Designing, coding, debugging and supporting internal web applications;

Work with Stakeholders, Business Analysts and Project Managers to elicit, refine and understand requirements for changes and enhancements to existing systems;

Apply analytical skills to incoming business requests to determine what the business wants/needs how best to fulfill those requests;

Produce and maintain documentation of system structure, flow and functionality for design/build and for support;

Design and build solutions from customer specifications, test, and implement to production environments;

Debug  and support production applications, both custom and third-party;

Work closely with other team members for continuing cross-training and knowledge transfer to ensure adequate support of production systems;

Provide reports as required by the business.

This is a Contract to Perm Opportunity in the North Atlanta area. The position is on a large Development team that has regional ties. The ideal candidate will be strong in either C#, VB.net, or both skills. SQL Server 2005 expertise is a must.

Qualifications

                                                                                                                                                                                  

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience;

3-5 years' experience with C# and/or VB.NET;

3-5 years SQL Server 2005 experience including development of Transact-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, scheduled jobs, etc.;

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services;

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;

Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously;

Excellent technical, logical, analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong planning and organizational skills;
Strong project/team leadership skills.
