Job Description:
 
Under the supervision of the Development Manager, analyzes and develops projects related to Profile, Profile for Windows and Profile-Direct.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Analyzes and develops projects through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle including, definition analysis and coding and support.
 
Prepares formal technical design specifications and provides technical design walkthroughs of proposed enhancements.
 
Documents analysis while working with a client.
 
Researches and resolves system defects in a clear and concise manner.
 
Provides ongoing support/problem resolution for all areas of Profile, PFW
 
Works as part of the team; acts as a technical resource for other programmers, in and out of the department.
 
Participates in activities that will advance self and the company, i.e., actively recruits for the company; acts in a manner that is professional and representative of the company.
Is responsible for proactively documenting all work and workflows; regularly transfers knowledge and information to peers and supervisors.
Performs other duties as required.
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programmer language is required. 
Java, .Net, C, C++.
Knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
 
A B.S. Degree or at least four years of work related experience is required.
 
SPECIAL MENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
 
Must be able to work from and/or author a technical specification.
Must be able to perform technical walkthroughs/demos.
Must be able to perform code reviews in areas of system expertise.
Must have a basic understanding of database management concepts.
Must have the ability to mentor.
Must have proven technical writing skills.
Must have the ability to be at a computer/computer screen for extensive periods of time.
Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of team and client.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision; must be proactive in style.
