| Area Sales Manager |

Description: Eaton Corporation has an opening for an Area Sales Manager located in the greater Milwaukee area. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate and direct all Division sales efforts at direct and distributor accounts to achieve maximum product sales penetration while maintaining a professional relationship with each customer. The focus will be on the state of Wisconsin markets along with direct relationships with industrial and mobile Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in the state.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Identifies customer applications, products, and programs at direct accounts. Proposes solutions to these needs, and then coordinates Division functional resources to achieve customer and Division goals and objectives. • Leverages sales and functional resources within each distributor partner to identify and win new business while also growing penetration at existing accounts. Maintains positive and productive relationships with distributor leadership team(s) located within the territory. • Conducts quarterly reviews with key distributor partners using prescribed review form. • Recommends price proposals/changes, product changes, delivery changes and other miscellaneous programs as needed to meet market/customer needs. • Plans, conducts or coordinates technical sales sessions on standard and new products and their applications for direct accounts and distributor partners. • Drives target opportunity program for both direct and distribution accounts using Sales Activity Management(SAM) tool • Completes weekly updates to maintain accurate opportunity information within the SAM tool. • Accumulates and evaluates data on competitor's products and their market penetration. • Maintains and updates product forecast utilizing customer input and personal judgment. • Prepares and submits timely sales activity reports, expense management and ad hoc information requests to the Regional Sales Manager. • Maintains office and files for accurate customer performance analysis, follow up and good record keeping. • Maintains market coverage analysis for all brands within the territory.

Qualifications: 1. Bachelors Degree required, minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience required.
2. Experience with Hydraulic products dealing with Distribution Sales, OEM's, Customers and multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously. Aggressive, results oriented individuals with demonstrated success.
3. Requires an individual to be aggressive, flexible, and have the ability to effectively perform multiple-tasks dealing with various sales structures, distribution channels, product lines, customer types, and protocols.
4. Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate, direct, and technically support distributor sales teams.
5. Must be extremely organized and an effective time manager
Please note, this position requires the candidate to reside within the sales territory. Relocation is not available for this role. Only candidates that reside within the state of Wisconsin will be considered.
