Heineken USA Incorporated is one of America’s premier beer importers and the US subsidiary of the world’s second largest brewer.

The Heineken Company is the exclusive importer of Heineken Lager Beer and Amstel Light. Heineken
USA has evolved toward a portfolio-oriented company. As of 2005, Heineken USA entered into an agreement with Femsa Cerveza unit of Mexican brewer Fomento Economico Mexican (CCM) and will head the sales, distribution and marketing of the brands Tecate, Dos Equis, Sol, Bohemia and Carta Blanca.

USA updated a flagship brand and began to test market the first major U.S. line extension of the Heineken name in more than 125 years. In 2006, Heineken USA introduced a smooth, new luxury light brand Heineken Premium Light.

We currently have a very exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager, Southwest. This incumbent will drive HUSA performance in the Las Vegas, NV, area comprised of one or more distributors through effective business planning, distributor execution support, retail execution oversight, relationship management, people leadership and budget management.
 
Area of Responsibility:
 
Wirtz Beverage and Southern Wine & Spirits 
 
In addition, incumbent will be responsible for the following:
 
Plan and prepare
  • Supervise planning and budgeting for important retail outlets, both on and off-premise
  • Lead the annual distributor business planning process
  • Work with distributors to ensure they are prepared for program execution
 
Execute
  • Manage area budget
  • Facilitate resolution of distributor and retail outlet issues
  • Meet face-to-face with distributors
  • Support direct reports in calls on important retail outlets
  • Facilitate distributor training
  • Review and support distributor inventory management
  • Ensure effective program execution
 
Measure and improve
  • Lead the retail survey process including outlet identification, outlet visit and analysis
  • Assess distributor and outlet performance; facilitate improvements, as appropriate
 
People management
  • Build a team of direct reports consisting of Retail Sales Representatives to call on important retail outlets
  • Guide activity of direct reports
  • Provide performance feedback and development plans to direct reports
 
Qualified Candidates Must Have:
 
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Exposure to beverage industry required
  • Analytical experience required
  • People leadership experience preferred
  • Exposure to the beer industry (draught, regulatory, and on- / off-premise) preferred
  • Retail account management experience preferred
  • Exposure to retail marketing preferred
