About the Job

What you will do

The Area Security Leader is part of Building Technologies and Solutions business at Johnson Controls. Due to our growth we are adding this position to our team. The Area Security Leader (ASL) will report to the Area General Manager (AGM) and will have full profit and loss responsibility for one of the geographic areas within the Tyco Integrated Security business. The ASL will be responsible for working with the AGM to set the strategy for the area and will need to be operationally focused to drive efficiencies, minimize expenses and maximize profitability. He or she will have direct responsibility for area Sales Management, Installation Team Managers and Service Team Managers.

How you will do it
• Managing a complete P&L with a revenue +/- $50M
• Formulating sound business plans that includes budgeting, cost analysis and cost controls
• Area leadership for Install, Service, Admin and Core Sales including the coordination of activities
• Knowing the customers and engaging with them on successful issue resolution
• Driving organizational and process capabilities including understanding all cost infrastructure in order to champion and leading team members to identify process improvements for the most efficient operations; and effective delivery of projects to ensure cash flow
• Ownership of talent acquisition, management and development to ensure a skilled and engaged front line management team
• Collaborative partnering with other leaders and colleagues around critical processes and handoffs including National Accounts and Field Operations to enable enterprise success
• Enabling the organization to deliver on billing and collection obligations
• Maintaining a high level of quality and timely service to customers for maximum retention
• Developing and maintaining professional networks with appropriate public safety officers, sub-contractors, and associated industry contacts
• Profitable service and install growth determined by close out margin, service margin levels, budget management, net promoter score (NPS)
• Direct Reports: ~ 8-15









What we look for
Required


• University/College and/or Advanced Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience in sales, installation and/or service environment.
• P&L experience preferred with an ability to budget and perform cost analysis.
• Strong operations experience and demonstrated continuous operational improvement.
