Description: 


The Area Service Manger – West will be responsible for managing the customer services engineering staff and the installation, maintenance, modifications and repair of CTX scanners and associated equipment. As the Area Manager for the SFO/Bay Area Airports and other airports as assigned.


 


Responsibilities: 



  • Manage the daily activities of the domestic Field Service Engineers (FSE’s)
  • Provide direct technical assistance to the FSE’s customers, and customer staff
  • Maintain regular contact with customers by telephone, in writing and in person
  • Liaison between FSE’s, Technical, and Engineering staff
  • Determine an action plan in response to customer needs, problems or emergencies
  • Coordinate regular and escalated service responses with the other Service Managers
  • Participate in weekly management conference calls
  • Perform written and face-to-face evaluations for the FSE staff
  • Maintain site up-time statistics and determine FSE customer satisfaction awards
  • Call upon other departments outside Service
  • Assist in the generation of annual departmental budgets.
  • Review monthly budgets against actual, documenting and correcting deviations
  • Follow and enforce company and departmental policies and procedures
  • This position reports to the Regional Service Manager (RSM)

 


 


Qualifications/Requirements: 



  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or other technical area OR high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the day-to-day management of CT/X-Ray field service delivery.

  • Ability and availability to travel both domestic and international.



  • Computer literate.



  • Excellent technical and communication skills.



  • Proven ability to lead a staff of Field Service Engineers, creating and maintaining cooperation between the FSE's, their customers and customer staff.



  • Capable of providing a timely and effective service response to a customer need, with limited resources and minimal supervision.


 


Eligibility Requirement:
