Job Title:  Area Site Specialist


Reports To:  Regional Manager


Group/Division:  CCG/RMD


Career Band:  II


Location:  San Francisco(Multiple sites)


No. of Direct Reports:  0


Day/Shift:  8 AM – 4:30 PM


FLSA Status:  Non-exempt


 


 


Position Summary:


 


Provides dedicated service at customer’s facility which may include order entry, order management, chemical management, stockroom services and material handling.  Possesses the ability to accept increased levels of responsibility which include operating customer systems, Thermo Fisher Scientific mainframe systems and execute 3rd party and agent buys.  Serves as a liaison between Thermo Fisher management, sales, and the customer.  Establishes and fosters positive customer relationships.


1.     Perform stockroom duties to include receiving, putaway, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements


2.     Remove cardboard and trash from stockroom (Detrashing)


3.     Utilize RIMS hand held scanner to receive and distribute product to customer as required.


4.     Dispense and maintain product throughout building in customer’s point of use locations if appropriate


5.     Perform customer service duties with end users.


6.     Deliver direct shipment orders to end users.


7.     Performs other duties as assigned.


 


 


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


 


HS diploma or equivalent.


BS/BA degree preferred.


1-5 years customer service experience.


PC Knowledge, Windows based, MS Office.


Hazardous materials experience preferred.


 


 


 


 


Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:


 


Ability to create and foster positive customer relationships.


Proficient verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills/Microsoft office.


Ability to work overtime.


Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


Ability to walk extensively at customer locations.


Ability to push carts, operate a pallet jack, industrial forklift, and motorized pallet jack.


Depending on the site Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn to include clean room garments, face shields/facemask, hair covers, gloves, steel toed shoes, hard hats, and safety glasses.


Ability to work with hazardous materials.


Ability to read, write, and speak English.


Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive to multiple sites daily (mileage reimbursed).
