Direct Hire Opportunity for experienced Art Director. 5-8 years experience. This is a mid-level opportunity.
Responsibilities Include:
Design and layout for advertising, brochures, newsletters, promotional brochures, catalogs, POP, merchandising, flyers, photography, etc.
Cooperate with marketing group to develop and implement concepts.
Calendar, design, layout, manage and traffic production for quarterly OUTLOOK, trade shows, and seasonal sale promotions.
Develop creative for all corporate and collection trade advertising and ad slicks including preparation of disks or film for art. Work with advertising trafficker for placement.
Create and develop presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint for sales teams, events, promotions and launches.
Develop content and creative direction for corporate website launch; develop and implement any website promotions; manage content, creative updates and maintenance for corporate website including relationship with vendors.
Manage the process of creating POP/merchandising items and source with established vendors including: conceptualize, research, design and manage production of programs which increase results while upholding high aesthetic standards and remaining cost effective; supervise materials and production; coordinate pricing, bidding, prototyping; design, develop and traffic production for posters, counter cards and other promotional materials.
Develop customized and creative incentive rewards program brochures.
Art direct, manage, coordinate, bid, plan and staff photos shoots.
Pre-press and flight check information; prepare files for production.
Other duties as assigned.
Administrative Responsibilities
Represent art department at in-house and external meetings.
Serve as liaison to outside vendors including printers, service bureaus, sign shops, photographers, etc.
Pricing and Bidding: seek to constantly improve quality and cost savings with each project by researching papers, inks and processes with various vendors while simultaneously cultivating productive, successful relationships with vendors of record.
Maintain, research and upgrade art department equipment and software.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Proficiency and experience (min. 3 years) with desktop publishing software including:
Quark XPress
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Dreamweaver
Adobe Acrobat
Microsoft Power Point
Knowledge of and proven experience with printing process including pre-flight, pre-press, press approvals, web/sheet fed, 1,2,4+ color printing, and finishing.
Knowledge of writable CD-ROM.
Knowledge of and/or experience with web page creation, maintenance a plus.
Organized, productive, speedy, friendly, work well under tight deadlines, time management skills, responsive, self-starter, work well independently, follow up skills, mature work ethic.
