Primary Responsibilities:
  • Candidates must be fluent (written and verbal) in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English in order to be considered

  • Provide excellent service to walk-in members

  • Answer inbound call inquiries from Medicare and Commercial members.

  • Using system, answer and resolve issues such as benefits, eligibility, enrollment, claims, and billings courteously and accurately

  • Proactively educate members for enhanced understanding on covered benefits, protocols and procedures

  • Make outbound calls for follow-up on issues received via fax and phone in a timely manner

  • Conduct monthly Medicare welcome calls to newly joined Medicare members

  • Assist and involve in member retention events and programs

  • Consistently meet established productively, schedule adherence, and quality standards

  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain productive working relationship with others and contribute as an effective team member

  • Actively seek out improvement opportunities.

  • Perform Inside-Sales function to increase new business

  • Service walk-in prospects interested in Medicare, Individual Products and Healthy NY

  • Explain plan benefits and assist prospects to choose the most appropriate plan according to their needs

  • Provide information on various plan designs and send out benefit package and sales materials

  • Coordinate with Sales Rep. on prospect follow-up

  • Handle outbound sales calls from Lead Tracking System

  • Input sales activities and results on Sales Tracking System

  • Collect and review enrollment application to ensure completeness

  • Coordinate with Sales Administration and Enrollment Dept. on enrollment process

Qualifications:
  • Must be fluent (written and verbal) in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English

  • Must have a New York State Health and Life license or be able to obtain one within 90 days

  • Associates degree required

  • Bachelors preferred

  • Microsoft Word and Excel; advanced skill level required

  • Experience researching online

  • Previous customer service and sales experience is preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills
