ASK Staffing is currently searching for an Assembler for our clinet in the Elgin, IL area. This person will

• Assemble power transmissions & their subassemblies to customer needs following blue prints and other written and verbal instructions.
• Position specified gears,drve shafts,bearings,clutches and other component parts in gear unit housing.
• Aligns and levels parts with spacers and shims, and sets clearances between parts using micrometers, feeler gauges,calipers and scale.
• Bolts cover plates,electric motor and hydraulic pumps to gear units in specified locations using torque wrench.
• Removes small quantities of metal, using files or portable grinders to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
• Drills, taps or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill.
• May set up and operate lathe, grinders or other metal working tools to make or repair parts.
• May clean parts preparatory to assembly, using solvent, cleaning cloths and air gun.
• NOTE! THIS IS A HEAVY DUTY ASSEMBLY DEPARTMENT !!!!!
