Aurora Loan Services is currently looking for a Asset Manager - Oversight.
Responsible for the effective daily management of high-profile portfolios, including all Aurora-owned loans, as well as those owned by select private investors. The Asset Manager will create, administer, implement and track client-approved strategies regarding all assets in assigned portfolio and make strategy recommendations when pools are producing less than satisfactory results.
General Duties:
- Provides direction, coordination and control for the effective operation of team or unit.
- Maximizing clients’ returns by monitoring pool performance to identify underperforming exception loans; works with Default business units and investors to develop strategies to improve and expedite pool performance.
- Coordinates implementation of servicing strategies across all servicers and all departments (collections, loss mitigation, FC, etc.). Prepares ad-hoc reports to capture results. Analyzes and reports results to clients, constantly re-examining the new strategy.
- Assists CAO in acquisitions and transfers; gathering and analyzing vital data from the various parties to the transaction, coordinating vendor efforts, and analyzing loans files.
- Prepares, analyzes and reconciles internal and external (investors, trustees) reporting.
- Reviews escalated loss mitigation proposals that fall outside the servicers’ delegated authority guidelines.
- May perform other related duties as required.
- Internal/External contacts: Aurora Bank Management and Staff, Senior Management, Management, Other Departments, Within Department, Peers, Vendors, Financial Institutions, Customers/Clients, Investors.
- Work reviewed upon completion. Plans and arranges own activities. Collaborated on establishment of operating policies. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives may normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the business or delays in projects requiring considerable expenditure to rectify.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years professional level experience utilizing technical expertise and/or solid knowledge base and skill sets to process significantly important work with minimal supervision.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with secondary mortgage market, and origination, underwriting, and servicing practices preferred.
- Basic Skills: Administrative, Office Equipment, Telephone
- Skilled: Functional IS Systems, Microsoft Access Database, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Numerical Calculations, Project Management, Reporting Tools, Research, Statistical Analysis.
