The purpose of this position is to assist with inventory data control for our retail stores.
- Maintain accurate records, track fixed assets, code invoices, prepare journal entries, identify loss prevention issues, and reconcile various balance sheet accounts
- Coordinate activities with a variety of contacts and identify, communicate and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Escalate accounting issues as appropriate and determine appropriate actions regarding customer returns and credit requests
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of retail accounting and inventory control experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel and Word
Additional Qualifications
- Some college preferred
- Excellent decision making skills
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting principals with the ability to independently analyze and complete general ledger account reconciliations
- Good problem solving abilities with strong customer service orientation and excellent analytical, communication, and relationship building skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and responsibilities with varying deadlines
