Requirements:

1. BS/BA Degree
   
2. A minimum of 1-2 years of buying or planning experience with a consumer products company or retailer
   
3. Experience with sales and operation planning, forecasting preferred
   
4. Understanding of Import/Export operations, customs clearance & import documentation
   
5. Strong Follow up and attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
   
6. Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook (i.e. creating and formatting formulas, graphs and charts)
   
7. Excellent written, communication and analytical skills
   
8. Self starter focused on continuous improvement and problem solving
   
9. Bilingual Preferred

Position Responsibilities Assistant Buyer

 The candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Submitting purchase order entries, defective product reports, inventory adjustments and updating SKU information
  
• Schedule quality control inspections with third party agency at vendor factories
  
• Review weekly stock status reports
  
• Review forecast changes, performance and weekly recaps
  
• Work with sales to collect volumes, cycles, promotional opportunities, new item and changes in distribution for key accounts
  
• Assist Procurement Manager with forecast and buying meetings on a monthly basis.
  
• Analyze and monitor shipments from Vendors; solve delivery/shipping issues
  
• Generate and maintain log of third party quality assurance on products
  
• Recognizing business issues and opportunities and providing solutions
  
• Reviewing Product, Packaging with Marketing and Sales Team
