JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Assistant Controller
Department: Accounting
Responsibilities/ Authority
· Produce accurate internal financial statements on a timely basis for HLG and all subsidiaries
· Coordinate and supervise the annual audit
· Assist in preparation of audited financial statements
· Consolidation of multi-company financial statements, on a quarterly basis
· Budgeting and analysis
· Forecasting
· Coordinate and assist in the monthly closing process
· Preparation and presentation of monthly financial review for all subsidiaries
· Review and analyze all balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
· Assess internal controls and make recommendations
· Assist in development and maintenance of accounting measurables
· Supervise Accounting Managers
· Responsible for quality performance in area of authority
· Any other job requirements as directed by the Corporate Controller or CFO
Skills/ Training/ Education/ Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) with accounting major or MBA
· CPA, with 5 - 10 years of public accounting experience
· SAP experience
· Audit work paper preparation
· Experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements
· Basic knowledge of partnership taxes, sales and use tax, and MBT

· Quality- accurate reporting of financial statements
· Measurement - accomplishing assigned tasks on a timely basis
